Who is responsible for an industrial accident?

The employer, as well as officials assigned to oversee the incident, are liable (Article 5.27.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, Article 143 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). If the employee’s guilt is documented, responsibility may be shared, but only if instructions, training, and the provision of PPE are in place.
