Working on public holidays (May 1st and 9th)
Holidays are created for relaxation and good mood. However, not everyone can afford to relax, and some professions require attendance even on non-working days. At the same time, it is important that the work is fairly paid.
May 1st and 9th are official non-working holidays. If you work these days, you are guaranteed an increased salary in accordance with the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.:
1️⃣ Employees receiving a salary: paid at least twice the amount.
2️⃣ Piecework workers: paid at least at double piecework rates.
3️⃣ Employees with paid rates: paid in the amount of at least double the tariff rate.
*️⃣ You can choose another day of rest instead of double payment. In this case, work on a non-working holiday is paid in a single amount, and the rest day is not subject to payment.
