A scheduled inspection of the public notification system will take place on March 5, 2025

The All-Russian inspection of the public notification system, including the activation of electric sirens, loudspeakers and the temporary replacement of the broadcast of federal television and radio channels, will take place on March 5.

On this day, the “Attention everyone!” signal will sound throughout the country — sirens and loudspeakers will sound, and radio stations and TV channels will be replaced.

The purpose of this event is to assess the operability of the alert system, as well as to increase the level of readiness of on-duty services for possible emergencies. Such checks are carried out on a regular basis twice a year, which makes it possible to evaluate the effectiveness of all components of the system.

The notification system is designed to promptly inform citizens about the occurrence or threat of natural or man-made emergencies. During the inspection, a special message will be broadcast in television and radio broadcasting.: “The readiness of the public notification system is being checked!”.
