On March 1 2025 amendments on compensation for unused days off came into force
Starting from March 1, 2025, a new procedure for calculating compensation for unused time off when an employee is dismissed will be introduced. Relevant amendments have been made to Article 153 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation (Federal Law No. 339-FZ of 30.09.2024).
- An employee can take time off during the year or add it to their annual leave.
- If an employee quits, the employer is obliged to compensate for all the time off that has not been used.
