Eight signs of an employment relationship

The Ministry of Labor proposes to expand the definition of labor relations, supplementing them with the following characteristic features:
- the steady and stable nature of the relationship;
- subordination and dependence of labor;
- availability of additional guarantees to the employee, established by labor legislation and other legal acts;
- employee’s performance of work in accordance with the instructions of the employer;
- employee’s integration into the employer’s organizational structure;
- recognition by the employer of the employee’s rights to weekly days off and annual leave;
- payment by the employer of expenses related to the employee’s travel in order to perform work;
- making periodic payments to an employee, which are his only and (or) main source of income;
- provision of tools, materials and mechanisms by the employer;
- as well as “other signs characteristic of labor relations” in cases stipulated by labor legislation and other regulatory legal acts.
