The new fire safety training Procedure No 1120 has entered into force

As of September 1, 2025, a new fire safety training procedure has come into effect, established by EMERCOM of Russia Order No. 1120 dated December 16, 2024. This regulation replaces the previous Order No. 806 from November 18, 2021, and sets current requirements for fire safety briefings and additional professional training in the field of fire protection.

The new procedure expands the range of individuals subject to mandatory training: it now applies not only to employees of organizations but also to individual entrepreneurs, property owners, and those authorized to use or manage property. It clarifies the training requirements for contractors, interns, security personnel, remote workers, and home-based employees.

For the first time, remote learning formats, electronic signatures, and digital training logs are officially regulated. The new rules also prohibit individuals who fail the fire safety knowledge assessment from being allowed to work at protected facilities.

The regulation introduces a more detailed structure for training programs, outlines the process for their approval and coordination, and strengthens the requirements for personnel responsible for conducting training.
