First aid kit placement and storage requirements

In accordance with Order No. 398n of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation dated August 9, 2024:

1. The number of places for placing and storing first-aid kits, as well as the number of first-aid kits, is determined by the employer based on the average number of employees, the specifics of the organization’s activities, and the results of an occupational risk assessment, taking into account the opinion of the elected body of the primary trade union organization or other authorized representative body of employees (if any).Places for placing and storing first-aid kits should provide for unhindered access to first-aid kits.

2. Places for placing and storing first-aid kits must ensure their safety in accordance with the requirements of manufacturers of medical devices indicated on the packaging.

3. Places for placing and storing first-aid kits can be indicated on information stands, in occupational safety corners or in places where occupational safety briefings are held.

4. Places for placing and storing first-aid kits should be marked with appropriate warning colors and signs.

Places for placing and storing first-aid kits can be indicated on the fire evacuation plan.
